PROJECT WORK
- Dear Students,
- This project assignment will show how colaborative, creative and responsible you are in revealing the difficulties of working with educational technology, investigating deviceful strategies and working out diverse project activities for the accessible university teaching equipment as well as proposing persuasive outlines of using innovative teaching gadgets that are worth purchasing.
Students' level: upper intermediate/advanced
Project idea: students will investigate the difficulties in using educational technology and will come up with ideas, activities, tips to use the accessible university equipment and gadgets.
Driving question: How can the educational technology and other teaching equipment be used in order to increase students' motivation and the quality of learning?
Content skills and standards: Research and Survey-investigating the difficulties in working with educational technology, Literacy-writing persuasive presentations, IT-making videos, creating a blog, computer skills;
Collaborative final product: videos, glogster, power point presentations, blog;
Local and global audience: university lecturers, Modern Languages Department students, blog visitors and subscribers.
Goals: -to investigate the accessible technically equipped clasroms within the university and find out how and often are they used by means of students' questioning and survey, what should be improved/changed.
-to come up with solutions/improvement ideas and new gadgets worth purchasing(advantages, samples of activities, methods and techniques)
-to design their ideas using such Web 2 tools like Voicethread, Glogster, Animoto, Movenotes, Slidestory and share them in persuasive presentations in order to encourage the audience use educational equipment such as Language labs, Projectors, Computers, Smartboards, etc. during the lesson.
-to create and publish a Modern English Department website, post there information, pictures, videos regarding department events, projects, achievements, documents and ideas worth sharing.
